How we work it out

  • Figures use 2026/27 tax, National Insurance and student loan rates, and assume you are paid the same every week of the tax year on a cumulative tax code.
  • The assignment rate is what your agency pays us, not what you are paid. Employer's National Insurance, the Apprenticeship Levy and employer pension contributions are costs of employing you, so they come out of it before your gross pay is worked out.
  • Holiday pay is rolled up at 12.07% and paid with each week's pay.
  • Pension starts from your first day, on pensionable earnings between £120 and £967 a week, with 3% from the employer. By salary sacrifice your 5% is taken before tax and NI; in the standard scheme it is taken after tax, and HMRC adds basic-rate tax relief to your pot.
  • Both packages carry the £23 company margin. The Extra package's additional £7 is taken from your net pay.
  • Expenses and one-off payments are not included. Your first payslip may differ if you start mid-year or have an emergency tax code.

This calculator gives an estimate only and is not legally binding. Your payslip will show the exact figures.
